What is CBD?
In this podcast, Marion discovers CBD and its benefits. CBD is derived from hemp and is often linked to THC. CBD actually stands for cannabidiol. It's one of the cannabinoids found in cannabis. The other (and best-known) molecule in cannabis is THC (for delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol), but unlike THC, CBD has no narcotic effect.
Consumption of CBD itself is not prohibited, but hemp, the plant that produces CBD, is regulated. Consumption of THC is prohibited.
Cannabiol, THC, cannabis: what are the differences? What are the effects on the body? What are the effects on mental health? Is CBD said to relieve menstrual pain? Are there any situations in which CBD use is not recommended (illness, pregnancy, etc.)? Is CBD addictive? How do I use CBD?
Cannabis is a plant that has been used for many years, notably to relieve certain types of pain. Cannabis is a well-known plant with many benefits, particularly for severe pain associated with menstruation or gynecological conditions. But it can also be very useful for stress and anxiety in general, or for improving general well-being, such as sleep.
Frédéric Gié, co-founder of French CBD brand Arpa, today shares his expertise on the benefits of CBD for the body and personal balance.
There are few cases in which CBD is not recommended, but if you're pregnant or breastfeeding, taking CBD is not recommended as a precautionary measure, even if the risks are low.
If you suffer from menstrual pain, or pain linked toendometriosis, adenomyosis or other inflammatory diseases, CBD can help relieve pain by promoting relaxation.
You have to be careful which CBD you choose. In fact, especially for inflammatory pain, you need to turn to natural products, the most complete, the closest to the form of the original plant. These are the most effective products. And don't hesitate to discuss and exchange ideas with the brand. Beyond the cost of these products, they directly affect your health. Make sure you know how they're made.
