How to party safely?

How to party safely?

With the end of the year fast approaching, we've put together our top tips for a safe New Year!

How to survive the holidays periods

If you've got your periods, bring your period pants Elia: you'll be safe and dry all evening! Whether you have a light, medium or heavy flow, or prefer thongs, panties or shorties, there's something for everyone!

For some people, a festive evening means alcohols, so partying is good, but partying safely is better. So be careful...

If you take the pill, you need to know that it takes around 4 hours for your body to fully absorb it. So be careful: if you vomit your pill within 4 hours of taking it, you are no longer protected, and contraceptive efficacy is no longer guaranteed. If possible, we recommend that you take your pill a few hours earlier. Be sure to read the instructions carefully, as every pill is different.
If you're going to drive home after a party, a breathalyser is compulsory! We still encourage you to take a comforter and sleep on the spot: you'll be less tired and your alcohol level will drop considerably in your blood. Even if you haven't had much to drink, driving at night requires a great deal of attention. If you absolutely must get home, then (if you live in an urban area) wait for the first bus or metro, or hire a chauffeur. You can also arrange with trusted friends to walk home together.
If you know that you won't necessarily be eating during the evening, we recommend that you eat your meal before you leave for the party. A full stomach is very important, especially if you plan to drink alcohol.

How do you protect your glass from GHB?

Similarly, be careful with your glass: don't leave it unattended, and don't accept a glass from a stranger whose container hasn't been served in front of you.
To avoid New Year's Day headaches, remember to drink a glass of water between each alcoholic beverage.

How do you get home safely from a party?

If you choose to return at night, we encourage you to use the Sorority app. This app lets you call for help if you feel the need. Very simple to use, all you have to do is press a button and the app will send an alert to nearby users to come to your aid, interacting with you. The app is also a platform for mutual support between women and gender minorities.
